John Harrington added to the National Faculty

John Harrington will discuss how he handles the business-side of photography, from pricing to negotiations, client relationships to logistical challenges.  How can you better negotiate? How do the needs of editorial and commercial clients diverge and intersect? How might you handle a book deal, a magazine assignment or corporate clients? During this presentation we’ll touch on these topics and more, as you learn how to handle your business better and more efficiently.

 

John Harrington, a Washington DC-based editorial and commercial photographer, and author of the book “Best Business Practices for Photographers”, is a recipient of the 2007 United Nations Leadership Award and John has covered every President since Ronald Reagan. He was commissioned by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian to illustrate three books with his work, and his work has appeared in, or he has completed assignments for: The National Geographic Society, Rolling Stone, Life, Time, Newsweek, and he has worked commercially for over half of the Fortune 500 companies. He has traveled on national speaking tours educating photographers and artists.
