PRESENTATION: The role photojournalism plays in today’s newsrooms is constantly changing. Many photojournalists are struggling with higher demands for content with little training, resources and limited production time. We will have a conversation to talk about some of these issues and some tips to help today’s photojournalists cope with the rapidly changing landscape.
BIOGRAPHY: Kelly Jordan has been working in various aspects of photojournalism for the past 19 years. In January 2008 she began a new chapter in her career becoming a video producer for The Florida Times-Union. In her new role, she coordinates the photo/video department?s multimedia coverage, shoots and edits her own video stories, as well as those of the staff, produces audio slideshows and coordinates staff training. As a photojournalist, picture editor and AME/Photo & Multimedia, she received numerous awards for photography and picture editing. She has taught multimedia storytelling at the Truth With A Camera, Platypus and NPPA Women In Photojournalism workshops. Kelly completed her undergraduate degree in photography from the University of Central Florida.
